In Ramuscello, in a terroir made unique by the resurgent springs of the Tagliamento river, each year we entrust a limited number of bottles of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso to the darkness. On the occasion of World Earth Day, 555 numbered specimens begin a silent journey two meters below the surface, kept in stainless steel structures and protected by a hand-applied sealing wax seal over natural cork. Here, far from the light and the noise of the world, the wine rests for 365 days in perfect climatic conditions.
The Secret of Underground Aging
The choice of an underground environment answers a precise pursuit of excellence. At that depth, the temperature stays constant between 13 and 14 degrees, offering a stable humidity that allows the wine to evolve with a slowness and regularity impossible to achieve in a traditional cellar. The result is a surprising sensory experience: the structure of the Refosco refines itself, the tannins become silky, and an impeccable harmony is created between the acidic freshness and the alcoholic backbone, while the aromas integrate into a complex and enveloping bouquet.
Between Matter and Digital: The NFT Certificate
It is precisely this physical uniqueness that finds its counterpart in the digital world: every bottle, which still bears the material marks of the soil in which it was kept, is linked to a digital NFT certificate (Non-Fungible Token). By scanning the code on the label, each buyer can access the “digital twin” of the work.
